On the opposite end of the perceived-temperature spectrum, I present what
I’m pretty sure is nothing less than the fires of Hell reflected in my cat’s
eye after I doped her up on catnip to take embarrassing photos of her.

She *looks* completely adorable...great big treefrog eyes, gold with green around the pupil, delicate & lovely face, slim to the point of bony, lovely medium coat in shades of silver. She's the one we HAD to declaw to move out of our old place, tho, as her favorite hobby was playing with carpet backing and she'd cheerfully pull up half a square yard at a time to get at it! She's also one of those "You may only pet me on my terms" cats, and her terms are pretty tricky. Still, we took them on as a responsibility for their entire lives, and it makes me smile to know she will never know what it's like to have to scrounge food out of a garbage can while trying to avoid the entire hungry wild world of Montana!
