*MWAH* to all my Photostate friends. Thanks so much for hanging with me over
the last nine months. What a messed up journey, eh? I'm hoping this next
round is downright boring.
:)

Neal's brother D also came up to pick up family photos, etc. from SIL's
house. Here he makes the acquaintance of my iPad.

It's extremely inappropriate, but I think I have a bit of a crush on D.
Probably because he looks so much like Neal. Good thing he lives over 600
miles away.

I had a blast hanging with the two guys this weekend. Reminded me how much I
really like (and miss) men... sigh...

Neal's nephew Dr. J is in town to deal with SIL's house. Sweetie is
thrilled!

At some point I need to figure out how to get through each day without a vat
of Diet Coke. Not sure how much more my aging bladder can take.

I think I've finally decided what to do with poor old Stubby, Neal's '89
Isuzu Trooper. I'm going to donate him to NPR. Neal was a big fan of NPR.

C'mon, baby, do your magic! Mama needs to lose the 20 lbs. she gained over
the last 4 years.

Finally decided to spend some money on a bag made of REAL leather. I love my
little satchel. The best part is it didn't come from WalMart!

Jack has decided he wants to make YouTube videos. I'm hesitant, but he's
having a blast playing with the camcorder.

Road trip! Jack and I took off for a day trip to the coast. The weather was
perfect, for February.

It's official: Both houses have lost ~$50K in value since we bought them in
2007. I think I just barfed a little.

I absolutely HATE it when I realize my pants are too short. Although to be
fair, I did have to bend over slightly to take this pic. But still! Ew!

At least they're not "mom jeans"...

A Zentangle I made for myself for Valentine's Day.

From a design standpoint it's a white-hot mess (ignore the awkward
sun-splotch on the left- it's hiding a major boo-boo) but I am getting
better at making clean lines. I really like doing it, although deciding
which pattern to use in a space is still hard for me.

Jan 2009, pre-Photostate, I took a pic of a fortune I got when Neal & I went
for sushi (see inset). It came true. This is one I got tonight, two years
later. I hope it comes true, too.

(Although my skeptical side notes that just about everyone gets "an
opportunity" eventually, fortune or no...)

Time to say farewell to this old friend. This was the first Nordic-style
"stitch-n-cut" sweater I ever made, almost 20 years ago. I used cheap yarn
in case I messed it up, and now it's falling apart. Also, it's HUGE. I'm
going to run it through the washer a few times, see if I can get it to felt,
then make a bag or something out of it.

Jack has taken to drawing all sorts of anime-style characters. This is his
latest, nicknamed "L". The orientation of the face confused me but he
explained it's a profile view. The mouth is just a little far from the front
of the face, is all.

Today was a complete loss, so here's another from yesterday: This perfect
view of Mt. Rainier as we approached Seattle.

Flying home. Today is Neal's 56th birthday. He gave me this empty seat next
to me on the flight home. I can't remember the last time I had an empty seat
next to me! It was awesome.
