This picture is the first one I posted 2 years ago. I figured it would give
me some closure (not so much). It has been such great fun blogging with you
ladies and getting a small glimpse into your lives and giving you a glimpse
into mine. I will miss you very much. However, I will be a follower in
year 3 so keep those great pictures and commentary coming. I am sure you
will be getting some random and wacky comments from me.

We skied 10 miles today - my longest ski ever - and no falls! I imagine I
will feel it tonight....

Big storm in the mountains last night - lots of snow. Since we were one of
the first people out on the ski trail this morning we had to "break
trail" as there was about 9 inches of powder covering it. It takes more
effort to open up the trail but I really enjoy skiing on the fresh powder.

from the last one.....

My hubby and I are taking an on-line photography course. I don't have much
experience with an SLR - so I am trying his out for the class. The
first assignment was to take a picture of an unusual pattern in nature.

Bourbon Street sign. I was on Bourbon Street taking this picture (so your
not seeing Bourbon Stree) - so unfortunately you are missing all the
craziness on the street.

One of my hubby's favorite treats - beignets from Cafe du Monde. They are
basically fried pieces of dough with powdered sugar. For those of you
familiar with the Southwest they are a french version of Indian Fry Bread.

The first stop on the cruise was Cozumel, Mexico. Beautiful scenery, great
shopping, yummy mixed drinks and lots of humidity (note my shiny face).

Our cruise started and ended in New Orleans. New Orleans is one of our
favorite places. Here is a balcony all decked out - my guess is for Mardis
Gras which takes place next month.

Every night our cabin-boy would leave us a towel animal that he created.
Here is the menagerie: elephant, penguin, seal, pig and dog. He also made
us a monkey that hung from our cabin ceiling.

The hubby and I, in front of our ship. One of things we really enjoyed on
this cruise was its casualness. You didn't have to drees up for dinner (but
you could if you wanted to) and you could eat at any time - not assigned
dining.
