In one of my old jobs in Residence Life, my residents LOVED to steal the
signs out of the stairwells (one of their... "tamer" habits). University
police slowly recovered them, and they gifted this one to me. I keep it in
my office now. There's something about marking my office as an "area of
safe refuge" that appeals to me.

I had to go cold calling with Goose today for his new job. Since my salary
is based on commission, I only made enough to cover lunch (which was one
commission). At least lunch was delicious... Finding out that my winter
boots are apparently not equipped to not soak through after a day in the
snow? Priceless.

Just dropped the last two cats off at the vet to be euthanized. It's been a
sucky, traumatic day for all involved. It's like all the frustrations of the
past six months came down on me today. So glad it's OVER. Sorry it had to go
this way but I did the best I could.
