I got Judy to send me a picture of her performance art piece (354/365)
because you guys wanted to see it... so here's the finished product.

This is a close-up of a painting that we passed on our way to and from our
hotel room... Apparently last night someone decided it needed a little
fixing up and added some fake eyelashes. It made me laugh every single time
we passed, so I finally took a photo. Heh.

One of the nontraditional students in my senior seminar class (on the left)
is an art major and she had to come up with a "preforming art" for her
senior year project, so she chose to do one involving feet. I tried it with
pink paint and bare feet (you can see my footprints in the picture!!) and
Laura did it with purple and her shoes on. When I saw the end result later
in the day, it looked AMAZING!

A Zentangle I made for myself for Valentine's Day.

From a design standpoint it's a white-hot mess (ignore the awkward
sun-splotch on the left- it's hiding a major boo-boo) but I am getting
better at making clean lines. I really like doing it, although deciding
which pattern to use in a space is still hard for me.

Zentagle that I worked on while we watched TV. I just noticed one little
area that isn't finished.

Jack has taken to drawing all sorts of anime-style characters. This is his
latest, nicknamed "L". The orientation of the face confused me but he
explained it's a profile view. The mouth is just a little far from the front
of the face, is all.

A friend commissioned a painting from me. I've spent the day looking at it
and I've decided it's done talking to me, if I continue to work on it, I'll
be forcing it and, frankly, that will ruin it. Here's the back of the
canvas because I don't want to post a photo without her permission.

For Robin: My first attempt at a zentangle, on a sticky note. I didn't use a
fine enough pen and I crammed way too much in, but it was fun!

This is at a local rapid (train/bus) station! I think it is quite unique!

I took an art class on making Zentagles. It was a small class - only 3
students. Fun and relaxing at the same time. A nice winter activity.

Beautiful glass flowers made by one of my favorite artists, Dale Chihuly, on
the ceiling at the Bellagio Hotel.

Friends are moving to a new apartment in the same complex due to drama with
their downstairs neighbors. I painted them this Dia de los family portrait
as a housewarming gift. :)

A handmade card my BFF Laurie sent me a while ago. I love it.

lucas' assignment was to read a story and retell it in pictures. this is
his version of "where the wild things are." : )

Amanda 309/365

Started another one. This one is going to be Dia de los Muertos style.
