My hubby and I are taking an on-line photography course. I don't have much
experience with an SLR - so I am trying his out for the class. The
first assignment was to take a picture of an unusual pattern in nature.

We are taking this on-line class through our local community college. Classes are all on-line and last about six weeks. There are about 17 different photot classes. You don't have to live in Central Oregon to take the classes - but you can check out your local community college, they may have on-line classes as well. Here is the link:
For anyone who is interested, Two Peas in a Bucket has a free set of 12 lessons on photography. They are nicely done and easy to understand. I started with them when I first got my DSLR. They are free, downloadable PDF files. Here's the link:
