I do a lot of technical reading for my job. I'm used to it. However this
sentence made my head explode. It's lifted right out of the training course
as is. It's wrong in so many ways. I've read it several times and I still
don't understand what it really says.

HuH??? My head exploded after the 6th word...
I think it's missing some words. If it said "This feature ensures that messages are reliably transmitted..." it would almost make sense. Awkward sense.
yeah, i agree with liz on the missing word..... still is mind-boggling to me
