
Check this little guy out. I had no clue what it was so I looked it up - I
believe it is a Western Skink. It said that the juveniles are the only
ones with the bright blue tail, the color fades as they get older. If it
is caught by a predator it can cast off its wiggling tail to attract
attention so that the lizard can escape. Now that would be a great picture!

wild-it almost looks fake! like someone dipped its tail in paint!
we get those all the freakin' time. skinks... basically snakes with legs.
