I guess everybody really does love a John Deere! I was headed for the
mailboxes when this little guy came tearing around the corner at about Mach
4, skidding to a halt only a few feet away when it noticed me. I was sure
I’d missed my chance, but when I got the camera on and up, there he was on
the wheel of the riding lawnmower long enough for a dozen good pics. Last
seen ducking below a rain-gutter drainpipe; I don’t know if the critter went
up the pipe or around the building headed for long grass, but I sure hope he
made it.
