Got back from my mammoth roadtrip, to a late crop of toms. The weather is
getting chilly in Texas, so I guess these are the last ones till next year.

The Rio Grande river, taken from the White Rock lookout near Los Alamos. The
fall colours can just be seen in the distance.

Nothing better than a well grilled steak after a hard day. This, grilled
veg, mashed spuds and large amounts of red wine - a great recipe for a good
nights sleep!!

After a hard days graft at the new Gallery, we lit a fire in the outdoor pit
at the home where Alan and his family are staying, and enjoyed a well
deserved beer.

These are the lights along the walkway from the house, with smoke caught in
their beams.

Unloading and our first view of Alan's new Gallery on Old Santa Fe trail.

The original parts of the building were built in about 1610, and were
originally part of the priests lodging for the San Miguel Chapel, said to be
the oldest standing church structure in the US, which is directly opposite
the Gallery.

On the trip to Santa Fe, stopping for a bio break and re-fuel. It was dark
when I got in the truck and dark when I finally got out. Took us almost
14hours on the road from Dallas.

A well earned sleep and then unload tomorrow.

We went to the Boardwalk in Kemah this evening to grab some dinner -
there is a double decked carousel that just looks fantastic at night.

Late night at the Marina - this is about a 3 minute exposure.

Murphy on Squirrel watch.

We have had to watch his activity level because of his knee, but every
now and then he slips the 'safety net' and chases into the garden
after a furry friend!!

Need I say more???

OK - for the first time in club history, the Texas Rangers are going to the
World Series!!!!!!

Had a new wheel fitted to the Triumph, and took the opportunity to get a pic
of all the new shiny brakes and front suspension that was fitted the other
week.

Late crop of peppers from the yard - first you pick 'em, then you season
'em, then you smoke 'em and finally you blend 'em and serve the result on
smoked pulled pork - yummmm.

So - Mr. Murphy has been having problems with one of his legs recently. We
first saw it a few weeks ago, when he was chasing a squirrel. He would yelp
and come limping back to the patio, with his right back leg held up. He
would then lay down and about 5 mins later he would be fine.

We thought he was developing hip problems - but no - after several more
episodes we took him to the vet, and it turns out he needs a knee
replacement - Cha Ching!! $2 -3K

Will let you know how it goes.
