me some closure (not so much). It has been such great fun blogging with you
ladies and getting a small glimpse into your lives and giving you a glimpse
into mine. I will miss you very much. However, I will be a follower in

Early daffodils blaze yellow at the local grocery store. After reading
about how roses farmed for British supermarkets are draining a lake in
Kenya, though, I have to wonder where these came from. As I doubt our local
stores have much idea or would be interested in sharing info or helping
track such a thing, I’ll likely never know. I can only hope there’s some
glimmer of sustainable farming practices behind this golden glow!

Eddie bought me a rose at the train station this morning. He said he got it
because he has wanted to get me one for a while, but I think it was partly
because I took care of him last night when he got his first migraine ever
(it started as a headache, but his sister kicked him in the head and it
turned into a migraine).

I’ve done so little being out and about during the holidays in recent years
that both pink and variegated poinsettias were news to me! Put pink and
variegated together and they were really hard to resist buying…”Even if it
died like every other desk plant I’ve tried, I’d get some nifty macros!”
says the little voice in my head. No, not assassinating any more plants
that way! Just photos for me.

I’ll be posting a lot of bird photos for a while, since they’re most of what
I’ve had access to from among my favorite subjects, so I thought a little
photographic fast food might make a nice break. This grocery store mixed
bouquet lily, as my original image title opines, is the real meaning of
‘orange’!
