Got a TON of snow overnight. Between ten inches and a foot, depending on
where you measure, as C. demonstrates here. :)

It SNOWED today!! :D

From what I am told. It hasn't snowed in Portland this late in Feb. in 15
years. We have had TWO snow days this winter :(. One at the very begging of
winter and today. Both only lasting until noon. But we did get to play in
the snow and make a snow man. Got some fun pictures!

It's not that common to get ice storms around here....blizzards, lake effect
snow and Alberta Clippers? Yes. Ice storms? No. But today we have one going
on.

Awwwwww Come on!!!! ;{ More snow? The stuff from the blizzard JUST
melted and now we gotta get more??? I'm soo ready for spring..... :{

Amanda 346/365

49 was the high today, but it stayed in the 30s most of the day. To just
tried to keep warm. Yah I'm a wuss compared to the upper midwest and the
east coast but it's friggin cold for Austin!

One of the bigger perks of going to school so close to the Caterpillar
headquarters?? They sent Bobcats over to shovel our sidewalks :)

RobinTwo 341/365

Dug out!

RobinTwo 340/364

Ha!! Paybacks!!!! ;)

Rachel 340/365

They did a better plow job today, but thanks to the blowing snow on all the
country roads, the county issued a "don't drive unless you have to"
warning... so no school again!

Rachel 339/365

Wednesday morning, they plowed the bare minimum possible... but this
probably best shows the 13 or so inches we got. No school!!

Jean 339/365

Last week it felt like spring. This morning with the wind chill, it's like
-10. Ugh.

RobinTwo 339/365

Okay, so apparantly you actually need a PLOW to plow your driveway...... I
attempted to do it without one this morning hoping to at least make it into
my garage..... No such luck. ;{ When I got out and started to shovel, I
realized why I wasn't successful. The snow drift was three feet deep! Only
took me 35 minutes to break it down just enough to get my truck in the
garage......and when I woke up today.....I discovered that a friend had
plowed my driveway. I was SOOOOO relieved!!

Renatta 338/365

Ice is not fun, but at least we were missed by the monster storm paralyzing
much of the country.

i now understand why people go south for the winter. just turning around in
a parking lot meant a difference of 2 degrees.

RobinTwo 338/365

My walk from my truck in to work tonight.....I stress the "in"
part.........................Thank goodness I didn't have to work outside
today......

Rachel 338/365

It has begun. We're supposed to get at least a foot of snow and in some
places around here it's supposed to get as deep as two feet... add to that
crazy winds and 6 foot tall drifts predicted? Sounds like it's a good time
to have school cancelled. :) (and it is! Tuesday and Wednesday!)

Eat our Frost Snowshoe today - we shooed up Tumalo Mountain. It is only 3
miles round trip but It literally felt like we were snow shoeing straight up
the side of the mountain. After all that work it was fogged in at the top.
So, you got a picture of some frosty trees. Kind of arty.

Here it comes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
