his patch is part of the physical therapy I am getting for my knee. It has
a small battery on it and delivers a numbing medication to the nerve that is
irritated. When Joe asks me how PT was I always tell him that I really got a
charge out of it.

I had those! I was getting them on my frozen shoulder last year. I tried to do some googling to learn more about them and discovered they're used a lot on horses. :/
