This is an unusual moth compared to most of the ones I see, which tend to
fit in either the prominent, micro, or bark-mimics in shades of brown and
red. It’s still in my neighbor’s garage, so apparently isn’t feeling urgent
enough about getting out to take up any of the several dozen opportunities
to fly off during daylight hours. Actual size is under 1 inch from eyeballs
to wing fringe.

We're not getting nearly as many this year so far as we did last year; I blame the onslaught of rainy gray weather! A couple of the common ones are starting to show up finally...
